Artemis Films was set up by Julia Taylor-Stanley in April 2008 to produce a number of high quality films with commercial value and the ability to attract international distribution. Since then, the Company has successfully produced Ralph Fiennes’ directorial debut, “Coriolanus” which has won critical acclaim since its February premiere at the Berlin Film Festival and is now backed by heavyweight independent distributor, The Weinstein Company, who have recently triumphed globally with “The King’s Speech”. Artemis Films has also produced a new version of William Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”, a $21m Film starring Dame Helen Mirren which received an Oscar nomination. Icon Entertainment is the world sales agent and Disney distributing in the United States and the United Kingdom, among other territories.
